Warning About Communism While Inviting It

Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson and President Trump have recently warned us about the threat of communism. We boomers are familiar with the threat of communism. My Selective Service lotto number during the Vietnam War spared me. Other classmates of mine were not so fortunate. The vast majority of the Vets I knew back then vehemently protested sending more of their brothers off to confront the “threat” of communism.

My dad was a radar interpreter based on Tinian in the Pacific during World War II. I saw a stack of photos a couple inches thick as a kid. It showed aerial images of bombs going off and fellow Army Air Corps buddies posing as a group. I tried and tried to get Dad to tell me about the war. He always manipulated the conversation away from the subject of those photos. 

Later in life as Dad faced mortality he opened up. His stories of what he endured in the war were horrendous beyond my imagination. One less disturbing story is about his meeting with General Curtis LeMay. Curtis LeMay was the ultimate tool for poltroons like the late Senator Lindsay Graham. (Finally, in the mainstream news today comes word that has been in the alternative media for weeks: It will take months to years to replace the weapons used in our nondefensive war on Iran. LeMay would have had us run out weeks ago.)  

Anyway, Dad had been speaking to a buddy on the “parade ground” about his hatred of communism and desire to go on and fight the Soviets when we were done with the Axis Powers. LeMay called Dad into his office and told him that “we can’t be talking like that about an ally.” Dad got reprimanded by one of the biggest military bigshots in US history.

Dad was a stockbroker. He didn’t hate communism because of endless propagandistic repetition like “Muslims are terrorists” or “Iran is the biggest state sponsor of terrorism” or “it’s all about greed” or “we can’t let Iran have a nuclear weapon”. He simply knew that earners controlling their own wealth is the key to an equitable society and any deviation from that will funnel wealth from the poor to the rich. He cared about people.

If Mike Johnson and Donald Trump are truly concerned about communism they will reverse course immediately. Communism isn’t something that is forced on us by invaders. It is demanded by circumstances. It comes about by a realization that someone is struggling because someone else is thriving. 

The corruption we have going on today is plainly wealth being confiscated and moved to the top in total disregard for constitutional limits by a government that makes Al Capone look like a choirboy.

The glorification of Ronald Reagan as the man who defeated Soviet communism is intentionally used to justify big government and a corrupt military. The Soviet Union failed because, as Margaret Thatcher said, ”Pretty soon the money runs out.”

While waging a war against communism Lyndon Baines Johnson instituted it here with socialized medicine, education, and drastically reduced property rights. He didn’t end communism in Vietnam while he gave it the biggest boost here of any president. I would be wary of a president warning us of the dangers of communism. 

Our country’s debt has increased by $93,055.20 per second for the past year. We’ve printed $200 billion in the last six months, lowering the value of our dollars. Federal interest payments have increased to nearly $900 billion per year in order to fund foreign wars with no benefit for Americans and jeopardizing the safety of our kids and grandchildren.

The dissatisfaction with stagnant wages and rampant inflation caused by reckless government spending will be what delivers us communism. But our criminals in the government mention it to prepare us for another big, expensive “crisis.” 

On top of all that, Congress has just handed Israel free access to our military and military intelligence. The reason Benjamin Netanyahu proclaimed an end to his requests for aid is because he now has it without asking.

Like the depleted arsenal story, the conspiracy theorists will be proven correct in the end; but not before the crooks at the top get richer and the peons demand communism (labeled socialism because it sounds nice).
