Nearly 100 Hampton-Dumont-CAL High School students on Monday gave the public a peek at Large Group Speech contest pieces for the 2020 season.

The speech team hosted a Large Group Speech Preview Night at the Windsor Theater Monday evening. The event gave the students a chance to perform pieces in their entirety or snippets of longer selections in front of a live audience.

Performances included one act plays, improve, reader’s theater and more. This was a dress rehearsal of sorts for the students, as they ready for district competition on Saturday. This year’s district event will be held at the Hampton-Dumont Middle School.

During the preview night, students collected free will donations, while Windsor staff sold concessions. All proceeds from the evening were donated back to the Windsor.
