Mary Jo Jones, 87

Mary Jo Jones, 87, of Hampton, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City. She was born January 23, 1934, in Riceville, to Earl and Josephine (Vollbrecht) Kleckner.

Mary Jo graduated from Riceville High School. She was united in marriage to Marvin Shill Sr. in 1954. It ended in divorce. In 1974, Mary Jo married Richard Faxon. He passed away in 1999. She then married Donald Jones on August 15, 2002.

Mary Jo was a member of the Hampton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, dancing and playing cards, specifically 500. Mary Jo loved spending time with her family and visiting with others.

Mary Jo is survived by her husband Donald Jones of Hampton; son Marvin (Lynn) Shill Jr. of Boise, Idaho; stepchildren Steve Faxon of Kansas City, Missouri, Patricia Steinhaus of Chicago, Illinois, Daniel Jones of Omaha, Nebraska, DeAnn Jones of Aurora, Colorado, Dale Jones of Webster City, Dean Jones of Webster City; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Faxon, daughter Sandra Keller-Shill.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 13, 2021, at the Hampton United Methodist Church. Burial will take place in the Hampton Cemetery.
