Marc Duane Krull, 51

Marc Duane Krull, 51, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away following a motorcycle accident on Wednesday evening, October 6, 2021, in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

            Marc was born on March 14, 1970, in Hampton, Iowa, the son of James and Larraine Dee (Hamilton) Krull. Marc attended school and graduated from Dumont CSD in 1989. On June 26, 1989, Marc proudly entered the United States Navy. He served on the USS Missouri (BB-63), which fired the first volley on Kuwait during the early days of Desert Storm. Marc later served on the USS Leahy (CG-16) and was honorable discharged on July 25, 1993. Following graduation from the Truck Driving Program at Kirkwood Community College, Marc obtained his Commercial Driver’s License. He drove semi for several different companies prior to buying his own semi-truck in 2016. As owner-operator, he transported a variety of goods including meat, produce, spices, dog food and furniture for Johnson Feed Inc. out of Canton, SD.

            On July 16, 2005, Marc was united in marriage to Kathereen “Kathy” Polsdofer at the Dumont Reformed Church. For enjoyment, Marc loved riding his motorcycle, watching football, especially the Los Angeles Chargers, playing video games and spending time with his family.

Marc is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughters Cheyenne (Eddie) Cummings of Mohave Valley, AZ and Faith of Hampton; three grandchildren; his parents, James and Dee Krull of Waverly; his brother, Scott (April) Krull of rural Austin, MN; and several sisters and brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly and officiated by Sheila Dwine. Burial will follow in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly, with military rites provided by the Waverly Area Veterans Group Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021, at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
