Jean Marie Riggins Enders, 91

Jean Marie Riggins Enders, 91, of Hampton Iowa, peacefully passed away Monday, April 5th, 2021 at the Dumont Wellness Center, Dumont.

            Jean was born on October 19, 1929 in Franklin County Iowa, to Clarence E . and Esther M. (Lockwood) Riggins. She attended school and graduated high school in Renwick, Iowa. After graduation she entered the United States Air Force and traveled a lot. Her dream was to become a model with her love of fashion. In 1956, Jean completed professional training with the Bette Bonn Schools of Modeling and Charm and became qualified to do fashion and photographic modeling. Jean and Klaus Enders were married in 1958. They enjoyed traveling together, even a trip to Germany. They later divorced.

            San Francisco, California was home for most of her adult life, where she was employed as a secretary. Iowa was calling Jean to come back and she moved to Hampton in May 2002. Jean was a very avid reader with a great love of books and movies. She kept up with current events and enjoyed doing crosswords.

            Jean was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Keith Riggins of Waterloo, sisters-in-law, Virginia Riggins, Evelyn Riggins, and Beth Riggins, and very special partner, Hector of San Francisco.

            Those left to cherish her memories are her brothers, Clarence Stuart Riggins of Hampton, Glenn Riggins of Albuquerque, New Mexico, nieces and nephews and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

            In lieu of flowers and memorials, donations can be made to Mercy One North Iowa Hospice or a charity of choice in her memory.

            Iowa Cremation, Waukee, assisted the family.
