Fareway adjusts hours for stocking, cleaning purposes

Fareway in Hampton will operate under new hours for the time being.

Due to an influx of store traffic and added safety precautions as concern over the COVID-19 virus increases, Fareway will be open to the general public from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. beginning tomorrow (Wednesday, March 18). The store will be open only to people 65 years and older, those susceptible to illnesses and expecting mothers from 8 to 9 a.m.

Fareway management expresses that the new hours are to allow employees extra time to stock depleted shelves and conduct extensive cleaning measures before and after shopping hours, as well as allow employees additional time to rest.

These hours will be in effect until further notice.
