Tuesdays on the Town continued in Hampton last week as people came out to Band Shell Park for dinner and a show.

Showcasing last week's show was Elizabeth Lyons a rising vocalist with some local roots. Lyon's mother grew up in Mason City and her family still has farmland in the area.

"I grew up coming here over summers so it's special to come back to Iowa to play a show," said Lyons.

This isn't the first time Lyons has performed in Hampton either. She previously visited Hampton for a Tuesday on the Town concert in 2015. KLMJ's Mike Betten was among the first to play her first single.

"I always just feel he was so supportive of me as a new artist," said Lyons.

Since then, Lyons has opened for high profile performers like Blake Shelton, Alabama, and Keith Urban. She has performed the National Anthem at Yankee Stadium, been recognized by a variety of music publications, and has played on major market networks.

Over the last year, Lyons has been focused on working on her first full length album, "Since the day we met."

Lyons performed an acoustic concert followed by an evening performance from the Hampton Municipal Band.

First Security Bank served up hotdogs to the audience, with free will donations going to the Windsor Theatre.
