Diana Ballhagen, 84

Diana Ballhagen, 84, of Sheffield, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton. Visitation will follow the service until 6 p.m. The burial will take place Friday January 12, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Riverside Cemetery in Rockford. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton.

Diana Ballhagen was born on July 19, 1939, the oldest child to Verni and Loretta (Schlee) Eberling. She graduated from Rockford High School. On May 24, 1957, Diana was united in marriage to Don Ballhagen. Diana managed the Sheffield Inn for many years. She enjoyed cooking, crafts and spending time with her family and friend and shopping. Diana also enjoyed wintering in Arizona with her daughter Kathy.

Diana is survived by her son Kevin (Tami) Ballhagen and their children Mark (Taylor) Ballhagen and their children Addilyn and Bentley, Shelby (Brad) Morgan and Carley Bollhagen, daughters Kathy (Kelly) and Koreen (John) and their children Reagan and Henry, siblings Fred Eberling, Gloria Holthaus, Cheryl (Dave) Warner, Susan (Bennie) Owen, Roger (Sandy) Eberling and Patricia (Terrell) Tribble, brothers-in-law Duane (Shirley) Ballhagen and Gene (Della) Cordle and sister-in-law Sandy (Harold) Pippert.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, grandson in infancy Travis Ballhagen, brother Gary Eberling, sisters Judith Donohue and Nancy Eberling and sister in infancy Jolene Eberling, sister in laws Sharon Cordle & Edna Eberling and brother in law Les Holthaus.
