Charles E. McLaughlin, 88

Charles E McLaughlin 88 of Baton Rouge, LA. Formally of Hampton and Nashua went to be with the Lord June 15, 2022. Funeral services were held June 20, 2022 at Green Oaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, LA.

Charlie was born May 16, 1934 in Burlington, IA to Marie and Lawrence McLaughlin. Attended school in Sperry, IA. and furthering his education at Iowa State University recieving his B.S. in agricultural studies. He taught Vocational Agriculture in Nashua for 17 years. He then sold Harvestores in Franklin County for many years, and later sold dairy equipment and trade show displays.

He married Betty A Territo in Baton Rouge, LA on April 12, 1958 who he is now reunited with in heaven. He loved the Lord and his church, ushering and was a fourth degree knight with the Knights of Colombus. He loved his family, taking many fun family vacations that he enjoyed remembering the years that followed.

He also loved the Chicago Cubs, and Iowa State Cyclone sports.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 23 years Pat McLaughlin daughters Madonna (Moose) Weiland Hampton IA, Mary (Wayne) Solomon Council Bluffs, IA., sons Tony (Ouida) McLaughlin Walker, LA., John (Regina) McLaughlin Colfax, IA., Paul (JR) McLaughlin Antioch, TN., Bob (Lori) McLaughlin Lake Mills, IA., Gary (Janice) McLaughlin Granada Hills, CA., 22 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, sister Margaret Bellamy St. Cloud, MN., Brother Harold McLaughlin Ames, IA., and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Charlie is preceded in death by Betty A McLaughlin, son Bruce McLaughlin, father Lawrence, mother Marie. Brothers John and James sisters Mary, Kathleen, Martha, Jane, and grandson Klyle Solomon.
