Duane Swanson, 67, of Hampton, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the Hampton Hospital Hospice Center.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the following: Franklin County Fair (which Duane hasn’t missed since showing hogs there as a young boy in 4-H), the Coulter Fire Department’s new building (where Duane served as a volunteer firefighter for several years), or to the Hospice Center of North Iowa who took amazing care of him during his time as a patient.

Jerry Williams, 78, of Iowa Falls, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at his home, under the care of Care Initiatives Hospice. Memorial mass will be 10:30 AM Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the St. Mark Catholic Church in Iowa Falls. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the church. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family to be designated to the Lighthouse Center of Hope in Iowa Falls.

The world lost a compassionate gentleman, Gilbert R. Muhlenbruch, age 88, who died peacefully at home on Thursday, January 28, 2021 in Grapevine, Texas. Gil and his wife Frances had just relocated near family in Grapevine after spending over 60 years in Wappingers Falls, NY.

Donna Symens, 83, of Sheffield, IA was born August 22, 1937. She was a twin daughter of Jesse and Esther (Pals) Suntken. She received her education in Pleasant Township country school and graduated in 1955 from Belmond High School. After high school, she worked at P&G Grocery in Belmond.

Norman Edward Holm, 75, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021, at his home in Hampton, with his family by his side. He was born on February 5, 1945, in Hampton, to Norman Thygesen and Shirlee Marie (Watson) Holm.

Norm attended schools in Hampton and graduated from Iowa Falls High School, class of 1963. He was united in marriage to Eileen Marie White on June 26, 1966, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Coulter. Together, they made their home and raised their boys in Hampton.

Barbara Frances Brockway (Clemens), 87

Barbara Frances Brockway (Clemens) passed away from a fall, which led to a cerrebreal hemorrhage, on August 29, 2020, at the age of 87 at her home in Medina Ohio She was born on January 31, 1933 at her Grandmother’s home in Dumont, Iowa, to the late Forrest and Ruth (Hutchinson) Clemens. She lived in Cedar Rapids to age of 12 when she moved to Ohio when her father started to work in Cleveland. She has lived in Columbus, Ohio, Celebration, Florida, and the past 50 years in Medina, Ohio.
