Jason Rolland Harper, 53, of Hansell, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. He was born January 16, 1967, in Grundy Center, to Larry and Carolyn (McQueen) Harper.

Jason graduated from Hampton High School, class of 1985. He furthered his education at North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City, receiving his Associate’s Degree. Jason was united in marriage to Rebecca Brayton on December 31, 1991, in Hampton. To this union, a son and daughter were born: Colten and Jaelynn.

Rhoda Mae (Silver) Clemens

Rhoda Mae (Silver) Clemens, 74, of O'Fallon, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of Donald F. and Nancy (Abbas) Silver born October 5, 1945, in Dumont, Iowa, at the Silver home farm.

  Rhoda graduated from Dumont Community High School in 1963. In January 1968, she was united in marriage to Ronald E. Clemens. Three children were raised by this union: Kent, Tracy and Randy.

Jeanette White, 97, of Iowa Falls, passed away on July 15, 2020, at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20th at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls with burial in Northlawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be an hour before the service. The Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls is assisting the family.

Ann Ruby Hemken, 88, of Williams, Iowa passed away July 14, 2020, at Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Private Graveside memorial service for family will be held on Friday, July 17, at 11:00 a.m. The Linn’s Funeral Home in Iowa Falls is helping the family with arrangements, and further information can be found at linnsfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be directed to the Williams Public Library 216 Main St, Williams, Iowa 50271

YuKona Adams, 83, of Iowa Falls, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday, July 17, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls. She will be laid to rest at the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 PM on Thursday, July 16 at the church and from 9:00-10:00 AM on Friday prior to service time. Masks and social distancing guidelines will be strictly adhered to.

JoAnn Hobbs, 93, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton.

JoAnn (Kurtzleben) Hobbs was born on March 17, 1927, on a farm outside of Woden, Iowa, the daughter of Jacob and Katharine (Korte) Kurtzleben. She graduated from Woden High School with the class of 1944 and then attended Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa. She then moved to Mason City, Iowa, where she worked as a bookkeeper in the Montgomery Wards office.

Robert Wesley McCormic

Robert Wesley McCormick (aka Bob or RW) left his well-used earthly body on July 4. Independence Day was the perfect day for this WWII Marine to obtain this freedom. Born December 6, 1922, in Latimer, Iowa, Bob was the eldest (and only boy) of 6 who took his responsibility as a big brother seriously and adored his sisters. He married the love of his life, Lavonne Waldorf, on November 25, 1956 and for the past 64 years they loved, raised a family, and worked side by side. And she is the one he wanted by his side in his last days.

Dorothy Lee Benge, 96, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. She was born on March 15, 1924, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Theo “Ted” and Ardia Leona (Sample) Dare. Dorothy graduated from East High School in Des Moines.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Donald Benge on October 7, 1943, in Des Moines. They eventually moved to Hampton, where they lived for many years. Dorothy and Donald moved to Clear Lake and lived on the lake for a number of years. After Donald’s death, she moved back to Hampton.

Carol Beth (Kinsel) Wosepka

Carol Beth (Kinsel) Wosepka, 89, was welcomed into Heaven on July 2nd 2020 through her faith in Jesus Christ. She was residing at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton.

Carol was born December 10, 1930, to Beulah (Shugar) and Ellsworth Kinsel in Ackley, Iowa. She graduated from Hampton High School and married Donald Wosepka on New Year’s Day in 1949.
