Randy Oudekerk

Randy Oudekerk, 70, of Mason City, died Thursday, May 21, 2026, at MercyOne – North Iowa. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 27, at Faith Baptist Church, Hampton. Interment will be at Hampton Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service at the church. Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory of Hampton is caring for Randy and his family.

Randy Lee Oudekerk was born June 11, 1955, in Clinton, Iowa, a son of Gordon and Ila Jean (Holcomb) Oudekerk. He graduated from Sheffield-Chapin School in 1973. For three years afterward he worked at the Aredale Coop. He then began a long career as a heavy equipment operator for Heitland Construction in Hampton.

Randy married Jean Newman in Hampton on December 18, 1982. They lived in Hampton their married life. Jean passed away in 1997. He has lived in Mason City for four years to be closer to his children and grandchildren.

Randy loved going for drives, especially after his amputation. Spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids was important to him. He enjoyed stock car races and visiting with anybody he met. Dairy Queen and A&W were his favorite places to visit and take his family.

Family members include his daughter: Tina Christensen; son: James (Heather) Newman; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; brother: Rick (Bonnie) Oudekerk; nephew: Rick Oudekerk.

Randy is preceded in death by his wife Jean, parents Gordon and Ila Oudekerk, sister Bonnie Jung and son David Newman and sister-in-law Barb Oudekerk.
