Bulldogs fall in defensive contest; draw road game at IF-A

HAMPTON – Two solid defenses clashed in Hampton on Friday, Oct. 9 and visiting Forest City came away the 27-13 victor for it.

Two scores in this game resulted from interception returns and a third nearly was brought back all the way for another, but ended up reaching the end zone a play later as the Bulldogs finished the regular season 3-4.

Bulldogs make history at Clear Lake

CLEAR LAKE – The Bulldog football team put a stamp on the 2020 season by posting their first road win against Clear Lake in 30 years.

Coach Andy Bruemmer’s team got out of town with a 7-6 win over the Lions, the first over Clear Lake since the 2016 playoff team, but the first time the Bulldogs have escaped Clear Lake with a win since 1990.

“Absolutely exciting,” Bruemmer said of the victory. “Great to see excitement and energy. It was fantastic.

CLARION – The Bulldog football team earned a season-opening win over Clarion-Goldfield-Dows with not one, nor two, but three safeties highlighted in this 18-4 victory.
