HAMPTON – The Bulldog girls’ basketball team used its full-court pressure to force turnovers en route to a 54-43 home opening victory over Class 1A No. 15 AGWSR, a team that started the season 2-0.
The Cougars made a run toward the end, but it was too late at that point as coach Miranda Valley’s team opened the season 1-0 against a quality program.
“It is a quality program,” Valley said. “So, they’ve got the respect and they’ve built themselves as that. I thought our girls came out and ready to play. They are excited for this year and ready to go.”
