Linda Jean Weeter

Mrs. Linda Jean Weeter (née Crawford), age 69, passed away on March 26, 2025, in North Royalton, Ohio, surrounded by loved ones. Linda was the only child of Richard and Jean Crawford. Born on May 3, 1955, in Hampton, Iowa, Linda enjoyed a happy childhood and carried the warmth of those early years with her throughout her life. She later relocated to Ohio with her family, living in Brecksville before settling into her golden years in North Royalton. Along the way, she formed lasting friendships from Hampton to North Royalton and remained in touch with many dear friends across the miles. Early in her professional life, Linda served as a nurse-a role that reflected her kind nature and dedication to others. She later chose to retire from nursing to focus on raising her children and working alongside her husband, Darrell, in their family business.
Linda shared 34 years of marriage with her husband, Darrell Weeter. She was a devoted mother to her children Brian (Shannon) Muth, Sheri (Dallas) Nelson, Matthew (Jenn) Muth, and Brett (Jennifer) Weeter. Her greatest joy came from being “Grandma” to Brooklynn (Nathan) Swart, Austin Nelson, Dalton Nelson, and Khloe Muth. She delighted in spoiling them at every opportunity-often saying with a smile, “It’s ok, they’re at Grandma’s now,” as she handed out treats before dinner. She is also lovingly remembered by her Uncle Roger (Sheryl) Crawford as well as many cousins, extended family members, and numerous friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and vibrant spirit. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Jean Crawford.
Linda had a special gift for bringing people together. She loved spending time with family and friends and had an undeniable knack for hosting gatherings that were filled with warmth and laughter. Her home was often the heart of celebration-where memories were made and stories shared. A passionate traveler, Linda explored the world with curiosity and enthusiasm. She often recounted tales of her adventures to anyone who would listen-her eyes lighting up as she described the places she’d seen and the people she’d met along the way.
Family and friends were invited to honor Linda’s life during a viewing on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Nosek-McCreery Funeral Home located at 8150 Brecksville Road in Brecksville, Ohio. A funeral service was held at the same location on Monday, April 7 at 10:00 AM. Following the service, a graveside ceremony took place at North Royalton Cemetery at 6320 Royalton Road in North Royalton.
Linda’s spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered through the love she gave so freely and the memories she helped create. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
