Roger E. Dohlman

Roger E. Dohlman, 72, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM on Friday, February 7, 2025 at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in rural Geneva. He will be laid to rest at a later date at the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory of Hampton is caring for Roger and his family.
Roger Eugene Dohlman was born on October 21, 1952 to Eime and Dorothy (Mutschler) Dohlman in Hampton, Iowa.
Roger grew up on the family farm where his love and passion for farming grew. He, along with his brother had a farrow to finish hog operation for many years along with row crop farming.
On February 13, 1982 Roger was united in marriage to Jackie Fain at the St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Geneva, Iowa.
Roger was very involved in Franklin County Pork Producers, Franklin County Farm Bureau and St. Peter’s UCC in Geneva. He enjoyed watching his kids grow up, helping with various 4H and FFA projects and wood working.
Roger had a long battle with cancer starting in 2004. He was a big supporter of the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life as a survivor. In his later years he enjoyed his grandkids and watching them grow. He always enjoyed having visitors when he was at the nursing home, and was loved by all the staff, especially when he would wear his cap that Jackie made for him one Christmas.
Roger is survived by his wife, Jackie Dohlman of Hampton, Iowa; children, Becky (Casey Staley) Dohlman of Hampton, Iowa, Nathan (Lili) Dohlman of Hampton, Iowa, Dani (Chandler) Good of Urbandale, Iowa; sisters, Thelma Donaldson and Kathleen Fonken; grandchildren: Madison Dohlman, Gabby Vietor, Natalie Dohlman, Eva Dohlman, and Matthew Dohlman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eime and Dorothy Dohlman; brother, Keith Dohlman and nephew, Shannon Donaldson.
