Bulldogs take fourth place at Invite
HAMPTON—-- The Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs girls track and field team had a strong showing at their home meet during the Lady Bulldogs Invite on April 4. The Bulldogs took fourth place out of 16 teams with a score of 68 points. In the 100-meter dash, Abby Drier took fifth place with a time of 13.51 and Aubryee Showalter took 11th place with a time of 13.93. In the 200-meter dash, Lily Hambly finished in fourth place with a time of 28.39 and Addison Aalbers took 18th place with a time of 30.85. In the 400-meter dash, Aalbers took 10th place with a time of 1:11.88 and Marlee Maas finished in 20th place with a time of 1:18.76. In the 800-meter run, Marlee Maas finished in 23rd place with a time of 3:10.45.
In the 1500-meter run, Lydia Maas finished in eighth place with a time of 5:38.68. In the 3,000-meter run, Lydia Maas finished in fifth place with a time of 12:02.13. In the 100-meter hurdles, Drier took third place with a time of 17.09 and Teaghan Bird finished in eighth place with a time of 17.91. In the 400-meter hurdles, Bird finished in second place with a time of 1:11.41. In the 4x100-meter relay the team of Drier, Showalter, Aalbers, and Bird took eighth place with a time of 55.15. In the 4x100 shuttle hurdles, the team of Drier, Hambly, Showalter, and Bird took second place with a time of 1:10.47.
In the shot put, Charlee Morton took first place with a throw of 38-10.50 and Maren Subbert finished in 10th place with a throw of 31-03.50. In the discus, Morton finished in first place with a throw of 144-02 and Subbert finished in fifth place with a throw of 102-06. In the high jump, Hambly finished in fifth place with a jump of 4-08.00. In the long jump Aalbers finished in seventh place with a jump of 14-02.50 and Rachel Wilkerson took 19th place with a throw of 10-02.50.
The team’s next meet is on the road at Clarion-Goldfield-Dows on April 9. At 4:30 p.m.
