Betty Seeger Fink, 88

Betty Seeger Fink, 88, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, formerly of Hampton, Iowa died July 5, 2023, at Keelson Harbour Memory Care surrounded by her family. Visitation will be 11:30 – 1:30 p.m., Friday, July 14 At Trinity Lutheran Church, Hampton with Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Hampton Cemetery.

She was born December 2, 1934, in Hampton, Ia, the daughter of Ollie G and Fannie (Woods) Miller. She was the youngest of four siblings. Betty was blessed with three Christian husbands. She married Donald Seeger on May 5, 1957. They were blessed with two children Sandra and Scott. Donald preceded her in death in 1971. Betty married Albert Behn on September 10, 1982 and they enjoyed 20 years together until his death in 2002.  Betty united in marriage with Marvin Fink on August 16, 2004, until his passing in June of 2006.

Betty graduated from Hampton High School in 1953.  After graduation she worked at the Franklin County treasurer’s office for 10 years. In 1973, she went to work for Hampton State Bank as a teller. She served in this position for 27 years retiring in 2000.  Betty was actively involved in church activities. She volunteered as a Sunday School teacher at the First Baptist Church in Hampton while her children were young. Later, she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampton. After her marriage to Marv she served as  LWML treasurer at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Latimer. Betty lived in Hampton from her birth until 2004, when she married Marvin Fink and moved to his farm west of Latimer.  In 2017, Betty moved to the Keelson Harbor assisted living facility in Spirit Lake where she resided until her passing.

Betty is survived by her daughter Sandie Seeger (Mark Hamilton) of Richmond, In.; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Linda Seeger of Milford, Ia; granddaughters, Kayla Blunk (Evan) of Clearwater, Fl; Anna Seeger of Des Moines, Ia; and brother and sister-in-law Richard and Carol Miller of Mesa, Az.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Ollie and Fannie, her brothers Rex, Jerry and wife Louella, husbands Donald Seeger, Albert Behn and Marvin Fink, brother- in-law Harold Seeger and wife Arlene.
