Ron Kreimeyer, 84

Services for Ron Kreimeyer, 84, of rural Geneva, will be Saturday, July 16, 2022 with a visitation from 10 to 11 am with coffee and cookies in St. Peter’s United Church of Christ basement, Geneva. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 am at the church with interment in the St. Peter’s Cemetery. Counsell Woodley Funeral Home, Hampton is caring for Ronald and his family.

 

Ronald Jon Kreimeyer was born to John and Marion (VanEschen) Kreimeyer on May 31, 1938, and passed away June 30, 2022, at his farm.

 

Ronald was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, 50-year farmer, 30-year volunteer fireman for Geneva, blood donor, lifelong member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Treasurer of Franklin County Soybean Association, served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965, where he spent 2 years in Japan and Korea and 18 months in Germany.

 

Ron is survived by nieces and nephews: Denise Green; Marcia Zimmer; Steven (Rhonda) Diemer; Mark (fiancé Kristi Schacterle) Diemer; great nieces: Amy (David) Lester; Rebecca Zimmer; Tamara (Marcus Williams) Zimmer; Briggs (fiancé Patrick Goldacker) Shore; Jenna (Aaron Hartkopp) Shore; as well as great-great nieces and nephews and many other family members.

 

Preceding Ron in death are his parents, John and Marion Kreimeyer and his sister Rita Diemer.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be directed to Hope Ministries, PO Box 862, Des Moines, IA 50304, or Heifer International, PO Box 6021, Albert Lea, MN, 56007, in his memory.
