HD-CAL boys track hosts meet
Hampton-Dumont-CAL boys track and field competed at South Tama on April 26 and hosted a meet on Friday.
The Bulldogs placed second at South Tama.
Tony Valenzuela placed fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.70.
Valenzuela also took third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.79.
Logan Pfeffer placed third in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.43.
Gage Plagge finished with a distance of 19-1.75 in the long jump to place third.
Scott Harr threw for second place in the discus with a distance of 123-5.
The 4x100 team finished second with a time of 46.61.
On Friday, Valenzuela showed well again.
The junior finished second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.52.
Plagge took second in the 400 meter with a time of 53.84.
Plagge also took third in the long jump with a distance of 19-5.25.
Tate Schmit tied for the high jump with a height of six feet.
The 4x100 placed first with a time of 44.68.
The 4x200 team finished second, running 1:34.90.
The 4x800 placed second in 9:19.57.
The 800 medley ran a time of 1:41.51 for second place.
