DES MOINES – AGWSR senior Alyssa Hames collected another all-state honor, claiming second team by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association, announced Monday morning.
Hames, who scored more than 1,000 career points and broke the school record for rebounds, was one of eight members of the Class 1A second team.
A four-year starter, she helped lead the Cougars to an overall record of 14-8 and finished the season in the Class 1A regional semifinal.
An all-stater via the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association last year, Hames did not repeat this season despite similar numbers.
The Class 1A IGCA All-State Coach of the Year was state champion coach Dick Jungers of Newell-Fonda.
