Meader to first team all-NCC

HAMPTON – Bulldog junior Lauren Meader landed a spot on the first team all-North Central Conference, announced last week.
Meader, a three-year starter for coach Miranda Valley’s team, led the Bulldogs in conference scoring at 15 points per game and was fourth overall in the NCC.
She was also eighth in the conference in free throw shooting percentage at 67.5 per game, fourth in assists (3.36/game) and sixth in steals (2.9/game).
Fellow junior teammate Avery Hanson was voted to the second team.
Hanson was fifth in the NCC scoring list at 12.7 points per game, fourth in rebounding (8.1/game) and was just outside the top-10 in the conference in both steals and blocks.
The Bulldogs finished sixth in the eight-team conference with a 3-10 record in the NCC.
Three players were unanimous first team selections, including Humboldt’s Kendal Clark, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows’ Raven Kinnetz and Jaden Ainley of Clear Lake.
