A plan to bring a greenhouse to the Hampton-Dumont High School grounds recently received a major boost.
Sarah DeBour, CAL and H-D Agricultural Education Instructor and Tall Corn FFA Advisor, said the Foster and Eveyln Barkema Charitable Trust Foundation recently awarded the FFA program with a $25,000 grant for the project.
DeBour said the greenhouse will likely be positioned near the baseball field, catty corner with the agricultural room at the high school. She said the plan is for a 30-foot by 60-foot plastic sided greenhouse to sit on a concrete pad.
