Pink Ribbon Night raises nearly $3,000 for breast cancer patients

The fans and players at the Hampton-Dumont-CAL volleyball game last Tuesday let those in the community who have been affected by breast cancer know they are not alone.
H-D-CAL celebrated its Pink Ribbon Night, which raises money to help cover travel expenses for Franklin General Hospital patients that have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
FGH raised money for the cause through a silent auction for gift baskets as well as a staff challenge to collect $800 in donations. If the staff hit $800, FGH CEO Kim Price would dye his hair pink. Because they were able to raise more than $1,600, he sported both pink hair and a pink beard at the game. The volleyball team also contributed proceeds raised through a bake sale and some baskets offered for the silent auction as well.
