West Fork wins ‘ugly’ over CAL

SHEFFIELD – This Class 1A District 4 quarterfinal win for West Fork over CAL wasn’t pretty.
In fact, it could be summarized as downright ugly.
Nevertheless, the Warhawks advanced to play in the semifinal against North Butler after a 14-4 five-inning triumph over the Cadets that saw a few sparks fly.
CAL’s lone senior Kainan Braun gave his team a short-lived 1-0 lead on a home run off of Caleb Cameron.
“Caleb struggled at the beginning at trying to get ahead of the batters,” West Fork coach Lance Thompson said...
