SHEFFIELD – In an effort to keep interest in wrestling heading in the right direction, West Fork head coach Jared Arbegast asked his nine wrestlers where they’d like to have their first home meet.
Unanimously, the group picked the new West Fork Wellness Center, which is located adjacent to West Fork High School.
While the meet didn’t go off entirely without a hitch, Arbegast said he liked having it there.
“We had the JV tournament here in the beginning of December and it went really well,” Arbegast said. “I said, ‘you know what? Instead of moving all of the mats, let’s take advantage of the new facility and try it.’
“The kids wanted to do it, I left it up to them and they were like, ‘yeah, let’s do it here.’”
