West Fork sophomore Hansen becomes two-time placewinner

DES MOINES – With a little help from a teammate this time, West Fork sophomore Jacob  Hansen became a two-time state wrestling placewinner last weekend at Wells Fargo Arena.
Unfortunately for Hansen, he took a step down the ladder, finishing sixth after taking fifth as a freshman.
The experience, said both Warhawk coach Jared Arbegast and Hansen, helped considerably.
“He handled it very well,” coach Arbegast said. “He helped keep Jarel calmed down. Obviously, Jarel didn’t have a meet like he wanted to, Jacob wrestled a really good semifinal match. I think last year prepared him for that...."
