ROCKWELL – West Fork will be undergoing a changing of the guard when it comes to coaching in the 2013-14 school year.

During Monday night’s school board meeting, West Fork athletic director Lance Thompson made the most moves and stepped down as head varsity wrestling coach but was approved as assistant wrestling coach/head junior high wrestling coach.

Thompson also replaces Chris Rogne as head baseball coach with the Warhawks.

“Because Chris Rogne was stepping down as baseball coach, I wanted to be sure to be able to get to some baseball camps and clinics that happen in the winter,” Thompson said of his decision to lessen his role as varsity wrestling coach. “There were some duties I couldn’t fulfill. I’ve coached a lot of sports, but the sport I enjoy the most is baseball and I want to put more effort into that as much as possible.”

Jared Arbegast, previously assistant wrestling coach for the Warhawks, will take over as the head wrestling coach. It will be his first head coaching position at the high school level.
