West Fork’s Weaver runner-up at Clear Lake Invite

VENTURA – It isn’t much of a stretch to call West Fork senior Kenna Weaver’s run during Thursday’s Clear Lake Invite lonely.
The Warhawk runner, who only recently re-entered the Class 1A individual rankings at 19th this week, was nearly two minutes behind the champion, Class 3A No. 4 Bryce Gidel of Humboldt, and 20 full seconds ahead of the third-place finisher, GHV’s Abby Christians.
She led West Fork to a fourth-place team finish in the 14-team girls’ field as the Warhawks scored 144 points at Regular Baptist Camp in Ventura. Humboldt took the team title with 59.
