An Iowa State University Extension and Outreach program stopped at South Side Elementary School on Thursday to show students it’s never too early to start thinking about conservation.

Water Rocks!, an Extension campaign that provides knowledge and engagement for water education to students in kindergarten through 12th grade, brought its high energy, interactive show to the Hampton school.

Nathan Stevenson, Water Rocks! team member, said it’s a chance to introduce children to conservation.

“We go around the state and talk to kids and encourage kids to think and care about natural resources and the natural world around them,” he said.
