Warhawks cap wild week with 5-3 loss to St. Ansgar

SHEFFIELD – What a week it was for the West Fork baseball team.
The Warhawks went from upsetting then top-ranked Mason City Newman to start the week, worked extra innings in a road battle at Central Springs and then suffered a 5-3 loss to St. Ansgar, which wrested away a three-way tie for first place in the Top of Iowa Conference on Friday, June 23.
“I knew it was going to be a competitive week,” West Fork coach Lance Thompson said. “All three teams are very competitive and I expect the best out of them every single game, unfortunately for us tonight, we didn’t have our best the whole game...."
