Tuesday night the Warhawks Boys Basketball team traveled to Northwood for another TIC East Conference matchup.  In the JV game, the guys played well enough to only allow two first half points.  The second half Coach Bohman was able to work in all players as the game continued to get out of hand with a 61-13 finish.  Following the game, Coach Bohman commented that the team did a, “Great job top to bottom and a great job getting out to run for easy baskets.”  The Warhawks JV team remains undefeated with an 11-0 record.  Jack Ward finished with 14 points to lead the Warhawks.  Ashyr Wiseman 9 points; AJ Anderson 8 points; Jarrin Hitzhusen 6 points; Austin Altick 5 points.

In the Varsity contest the Warhawks knew they were going to get a good, hard fought game out of Northwood.  The night prior Northwood was a scorching hot 9/18 from deep and that remained the trend Tuesday night.  Through one quarter of play, Northwood did a great job working the ball inside to their top scorer, Colby Eskildsen.  The quarter finished with Northwood up 15-11.  With much of the same in the second quarter, the fans saw Northwood scorching from deep and working it inside to Eskildsen.  The Warhawks went to the locker room down by 4, 29-25.  With 12 turnovers at half, Coach Trask emphasized the importance of taking care of the ball.  After half, with some adjustments, the Warhawks came out and quickly turned the tide on the game going on a 7-0 run.  That would be just enough for the Warhawks to seal a 61-54 victory.  After the game Coach Trask advised the squad that, “we need to take care of the ball and value possessions, 22 turnovers is going to lose us games when it matters most.” He also commented that, “he was proud of the way the team continued to battle through a night where their opponent took advantage of opportunities and shot 8/12 from deep.”  Cayde Eberling scored 14 points, 5 rebounds 4 assists; Gavin Cronk 12 points, 5 rebounds; Sage Suntken 10 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists; Edison Maske 10 points, 3 assists; Jack Ward, player of the game (POG) 10 points, 3/5 from deep.

The Warhawks moved to 10-2 overall and 9-1 in TIC East conference play.
