Uber satisfies need in the area

Editoral: A lot has been said lately of advancements made in business and industrial needs in the area and now there’s a service available to get from new spots to existing ones and vice-versa.
With the addition of Uber in the area, a need is filled for some form of transportation that can get the public from Point A to Point B. While Uber made it clear with their announcement last week that getting an adequate number of drivers may take a little while, it’s a welcomed addition for people that need rides to work, shopping and entertainment.
So how can the public ensure that Uber is an effective addition to the area? Simply sign up to be a driver. The more people that sign up, the more cars available since Uber drivers provide their own vehicle.
Uber will be accepting applications for drivers shortly. To sign up, download the Uber driver app and log in your information – where you’ll be driving, when you can start driving, etc. Uber will then review your driver’s license information, vehicle information and seek any additional information regarding driver screening.
Once a driver is cleared, he or she may begin servicing the area. Uber doesn’t have to be a full time job and can be done when someone has a few hours to kill and wants to pick up a couple more bucks.
If you’re not interested in being a driver, it wouldn’t hurt to test the app out from time to time. After all, using the service is what will keep it here.
