Turning point: Fourth quarter start big for No. 1 West Fork rally

BRITT – Even though it trailed for much of this top-five marquee meeting, West Fork remained in striking distance and a key five-point play made all of the difference to keep the Warhawks perfect in a 65-55 win at West Hancock High School.
Trailing 44-41 to start the fourth quarter, Reese Halloran spotted up for a three-pointer from the right wing to tie it at 44 with 6 minutes, 45 seconds left. He then stole the ball from the Eagles’ Connor Sonius, who grabbed him on his way to the basket and was whistled for an intentional foul.
Halloran calmly sank both free throws in front of a student section seated directly in front of the basket on a stage full of folding chairs.
“I didn’t think they were going to call an intentional at first,” Halloran said....
