Town and Country Expo brings farm and business together last week

Rural roads met Main Street on Thursday as agriculture and local business joined up for the Greater Franklin County Town & Country Expo.

     Running from midmorning to midafternoon, the expo featured 21 vendors from a range of businesses set up at the Franklin County Convention Center. Many had demonstrations or information about their services, while others hosted games or activities in their booths.

     “I think it’s been a good experience. I’ve learned a lot of stuff I didn’t know,” said Kathy Stanbrough of Abbott Realty and Iowa Land Auctioneers. “It’s a nice way to connect the town and farm together.”
