Thielen paces CAL for first win

LATIMER – CAL’s girls’ basketball team trailed 23-19 at halftime of Saturday’s conference game against Waterloo Christian.
But senior Stephanie Thielen took it upon herself, literally, to help the Cadets to their first win of the season, a 43-36 triumph over the Regents.
Thielen scored 21 points – 18 in the second half and had six of her rebounds in the final 16 minutes to overcome the first half deficit.
