An apartment complex in Sheffield is a total loss after a fire ripped through the five units.
Dan Fields, Sheffield Fire Chief, said his department got the call at 6 p.m., on Sunday, and when they arrived the Sunrise Homes apartment complex on South Second Street in Sheffield was engulfed in flames. Fields said the building is a total loss.
Four of the five apartments were occupied, and all residents got out safely; one resident, yet to be identified, was taken to Franklin General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, Fields said.
