Second half rally comes up short against No. 8 IF-A

HAMPTON — The difference between the first and second half of Hampton-Dumont girls’ basketball team’s 54-49 loss to Class 3A No. 8 Iowa Falls-Alden was that the Bulldogs’ shots were dropping.
Facing a 25-10 halftime deficit, H-D outscored the Cadets 39-29 in the second half but the rally fell short in dropping to 7-11 overall, 6-6 in the North Central Conference.
“We finished in the second half,” H-D coach Miranda Valley said. “We had the same exact looks in the first half, from three and scoring at the rim. We just didn’t finish, complete it in the first half..."
