Relay For Life calls “Stick a Fork in Cancer” a success

Local cheeseburger joints, coffee shops and other favorite eateries partnered with Franklin County’s Relay For Life Chapter in a new fundraiser called “Stick a Fork in Cancer” last month.
From March 18-25, six restaurants in Franklin County chose a day to donate a portion of their profit to Relay For Life.
Hardee’s, of Hampton; West Fork Wharf, of Sheffield; Willie’s Bar and Grill, of Hampton; Block 10, of Sheffield; Godfather’s Pizza, of Hampton; and La Amagita, of Hampton, were the participants in this first annual fundraiser.
The restaurants could choose one of two approaches: donating at least 5 percent of their sales, or a “block” amount, such as $200.
