Yet another stubborn spring snowstorm put a damper on Franklin County Relay For Life’s “Shopping for a Cure” fundraising event that was scheduled for Saturday, April 14. However, last Saturday finally yielded beautiful weather and a perfect day to host the event.
Block 10 was filled with 22 different vendors, crafters and flocks of shoppers. The event raised $635 total for Relay For Life, according to Chairwoman Sheri Bogue.
Bogue stated that the weather and the turnout made the event a very successful day.
Vendors similarly felt that the show was a hit, and are working with Franklin County Relay For Life to potentially organize another show in the fall.
