Reader voices support for community growth

To the editor:
This letter was written in regard to Sandee Brouwer's Letter to the Editor in the Sept. 4 issue of the Hampton Chronicle.
To me, it is the pot calling the kettle black. How many years did she own Sandee's Flower Shop–a bright red two-story house in a residential area that the residents had to go by to get home? We don't even know what business is coming in to town, but I, for one, am thankful that we are getting a new business who will be paying property taxes in our community. No one on Sixth Street or Seventh Avenue NE will look out their front door and be looking at a business. And when driving by one, it can't be any worse to look at than by driving by a cemetery or having a cemetery in your backyard.
Please help our community grow.
Sue Johnson,
Hampton
