Plagge files for re-election

Franklin County Board of Supervisors Chair Jerry Plagge filed nomination papers last week for the June 3 Republican primary ballot in Supervisor District 2. Plagge’s filing now brings the number of county-level incumbents seeking re-election up to four.

     Franklin County residents have until Wednesday, March 26, to file paperwork for the June 3 Republican and Democratic primary elections. Nomination papers must be turned in to county Auditor Michelle Giddings’ office by 5 p.m. that day, with no exceptions. Five positions are up for election this year in Franklin County:

     • Supervisor District 1, which includes territory in Geneva, Ingham, East Mott, Grant and Osceola townships, as well as Ward 2 and Ward 3 in Hampton. Supervisor Mike Nolte currently holds the position.
