Officials looking for two possibly connected to Dows shooting

Law enforcement officials are looking to identify two subjects possibly connected to a shooting near the Dows exit in Franklin County Sunday morning. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is looking to identify two subjects possibly connected to a shooting near the Dows exit in Franklin County early Sunday morning. Surveillance footage from a nearby convenience store showed the two individuals possibly connected to the incident in the store shortly before the shooting occurred.

The subjects are a black male and female, seen driving a gray or silver SUV, possibly a Jeep Cherokee. Anyone with information to the identity of the two subjects should call the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office at 641-456-2731.

The shooting was reported at 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning. A victim was transported via ambulance to Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa in Mason City. The incident continues to be under investigation by the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
