North Butler outlasts AGWSR in nine

SHEFFIELD – Last week Class 1A District 4 opening round opponents North Butler and AGWSR battled to extra innings, with the Cougars taking an 11-inning victory and the Bearcats a nine-inning loss.
When it came to the post-season, North Butler reversed its fortune with a 5-4 nine inning victory against AGWSR at Sheffield.
“We did it last week against Hampton-Dumont, to go that distance,” North Butler coach Travis Miller said, “but like I told the guys, they are playing gutsy baseball now..."
