Nomination papers for county offices due March 26

Franklin County residents interested in running for public office have until the end of the month to file their official paperwork.

     Nomination papers are due in the county auditor’s office by March 26, at 5 p.m., if a candidate was wants to be listed on the June 3 Republican and Democratic primary ballots. Five positions are up for election this year in Franklin County:

     • Supervisor District 1, which includes territory in Geneva, Ingham, East Mott, Grant and Osceola townships, as well as Ward 2 and Ward 3 in Hampton. Supervisor Mike Nolte currently holds the position.

     • Supervisor District 2, which includes territory in Hamilton, Lee, Reeve and Marion townships, as well as Ward 1 and Ward 4 in Hampton. Supervisor Jerry Plagge currently holds the position.
