No vacancy: Hampton Industrial Park fills up with addition of new company

A well-known Iowa industrial supply company announced last week that Hampton will become its newest location for a warehouse and distribution center.

     Des Moines-based DMB Supply, Inc., recently purchased the building currently occupied by Global Ag, Inc., in the Hampton Industrial Park. Its building is sold, but Global Ag isn't moving far. The company finalized negotiations to buy the former AGC Hat Glass building in the industrial park last Tuesday, and they plan to move into their new facility as soon as possible.

     "This is what you like to see in economic development," said Karen Mitchell, director of the Franklin County Development Association (FCDA). "DMB is a well-known and respectable company, and we're happy to have them here."

       DMB has branches in Cedar Rapids, Pella, Rock Valley and Lincoln, Nebr., in addition to their original Des Moines location.
