No. 8 Bulldogs shut down upstart Waterloo Columbus

HAMPTON – Forget the first quarter, No. 8 Hampton-Dumont came on to blow away Waterloo Columbus in the Class 3A Region 2 basketball tournament at Hampton on Saturday, Feb. 14.
After the opening eight minutes, the Bulldogs led 10-9, but the Sailors managed only nine points the rest of the way in an eventual 62-18 win for coach Chad Johnson’s team.
Jordan Prantner hit three of the team’s seven three-pointers in leading the Bulldogs with 15 points as they improved to 19-2.
