No. 7 H-D survive physical Algona to control NCC

HAMPTON – What was once a 20-point lead for Class 3A No. 7 Hampton-Dumont’s girls’ basketball team was cut to single digits with less than a minute in this North Central Conference game.
But H-D survived the physicality and foul-calling that went against it to survive in posting a 65-55 victory and put a lock on the conference lead.
In the final two minutes of this game the two teams combined for 23 free throw attempts, Algona going 8-for-12.
