SHEFFIELD – Exactly how dominant was Class 3A No. 3 Osage at West Fork on Tuesday, Sept. 18?
The Green Devils came out to show just how deserving they are of their ranking in the opening set that they didn’t allow a single kill by the Warhawks in the opener of an eventual 25-9, 25-7, 25-10 sweep.
In fact, the only point in the 25-9 first game between the two Top of Iowa East opponents earned by the Warhawks was an Emily Caspers block that made the score 13-4. It ended up as the only Warhawk block against the Green Devils.
West Fork managed just nine kills against the 13-4 team, three by Sammie Washington and all three of those came off of the Green Devils’ block. Rachael Jones also added three more, two late in the match.
