Construction on a new state of the art grain facility in western Franklin County is moving along as planned, according to company officials.
Fort Dodge-based NEW Cooperative began construction on a four-bin expansion east of Rowan this spring. The facility, which sits inside Franklin County along S-13, will have 1,875,000 bushels of storage upon completion. The company plans to wrap up construction late this summer in time for the 2015 harvest season.
“This is an exciting time for NEW Cooperative and producers in Franklin and Wright counties,” said NEW Cooperative general manager Brent Bunte in a news release. “We are very pleased to bring significant growth and new marketing options to the area.”
